What if life were one long artist residency?
Studio, supplies, time, food—all provided, forever.
What would you make?
Creativity doesn’t only mean painting or writing or composing. It’s one of the ways eros—life force—moves through us: curiosity, play, invention, beauty, problem-solving, expression, making something where there wasn’t something before.
Your birth chart offers a fascinating map of how your creative energy likes to move.
Your chart is full of doors into your creativity. Let’s open them.
Some chart placements lead toward pleasure, beauty, play, appetite, weirdness, ease—and things you’re so naturally good at that you barely recognize them as gifts.
Others lead toward constraint, conflict, darkness, obsession, stuckness.
All of it is creative material.
Your Chart, Your Creative Blueprint
Maybe you have Venus in Virgo and were never meant to splatter paint, but to be exact, precise, devoted to craft.
Maybe crabby Uncle Saturn shows up right when you’re trying to meet a deadline—not to punish you, but to ask something of you.
Where do you naturally flow? What gives you juice? What wants strengthening? What creative possibilities haven’t you explored yet?
This is astrology brought off the page and into your actual creative life.
Your Personal Creativity Reading
Before our first class, you’ll meet privately with astrologer Christine Simokaitis for a 30-min. personal creativity reading of your birth chart.
When we explore Venus or the fifth house together, you won’t be learning about some abstract astrological concept.
You’ll already know something about your own creative blueprint:
This is MY Venus. This is MY fifth house.
This is where I naturally flow. This is where I get weird.
This is where I encounter friction—and what might want to be developed.
Christine gives you the map.
Then we spend six weeks walking around inside it.
Six Weeks Inside Your Chart
Each week, Christine will introduce us to a different territory of the chart and help you understand how it shows up in your own. Then we’ll take it off the page: we’ll move, embody the archetypes, write, experiment, and make things with what we discover.
THE SKY RIGHT NOW
Weekly astrological weather
We’ll keep an eye on what’s happening in the sky right now.
Christine will give us a weekly glimpse of the astrological weather—the live energies and patterns moving through the cosmos while we’re creating together.
And over our six weeks, we’ll play with:
PLEASURE + DESIRE
Venus
Beauty. Attraction. Taste. Pleasure. Desire.
What draws you? What delights you? What does your particular Venus want to make?
PLAY + EXPRESSION
The Fifth House
The astrological home of play and creative expression.
What’s living in your fifth house and where is there clutter? Do you need a cosmic Dirt Devil for a deep clean? What wants more room?
YOUR CREATIVE SELF
Sun + Moon
We’ll explore the particular conditions under which your creative self comes alive.
What conditions let your particular creative creature come out to play?
VOICE + WEIRDNESS
Mercury + Uranus
Thought. Language. Voice. Innovation. Disruption.
We’ll shake things up, break some habits, experiment with form, and get weird.
What happens when you let yourself make something differently than you usually do?
FIRE + FORM
Mars + Saturn
Action. Motivation. Friction. Discipline. Constraint. Form.
We’ll explore what gets in the way—and what pressure, limitation, and structure can make possible.
What happens when you stop treating constraint as the enemy of creativity and give it something to build?
And throughout it all, we’ll keep asking:
How does this energy actually want to create through me?
Some of what we make may be beautiful.
Some may be weird.
Some may surprise the hell out of us.
Good.
What You’ll Leave With
A personal creative blueprint
A deeper understanding of your particular gifts, appetites, patterns, challenges, and creative rhythms—including gifts that may come so naturally you’ve never recognized them as gifts.
More doors into creativity
Embodied, astrological, creative, and devotional practices you can return to when you want to create, play, experiment, deepen, or get unstuck.
A relationship with your chart
Not simply information about your placements, but lived experience of them as creative collaborators you can return to.
Things you’ve actually made
Six weeks of strange, soulful, surprising experiments—and perhaps the beginnings of something that could only have come through you.
You Don’t Have to Be an Artist or Know Anything About Astrology
You don’t need to be a writer or artist. And you don’t need to know anything about astrology.
You just need some curiosity about your own creative life.
Because creativity is larger than art.
It’s the part of us that improvises. Imagines. Makes connections. Follows fascination. Finds another way. Turns experience into meaning. Brings something into existence that wasn’t there before.
And sometimes the way back into that current isn’t trying harder.
It’s finding another door.
Astrology gives us a lot of doors.
