When I was growing up, my best friend lived next door to me, and we shared the same birthday. Out of curiosity about how our birth charts might compare, our mothers had our charts read by a local acquaintance (someone they described as very “out there”). When my friend and I saw our charts, we didn’t know what any of it meant, but it was clear that the three-hour difference in our birth times made our charts (and our destinies?) look very different. I was fascinated by the glyphs and symbols, the wheel of houses, names of the planets… a seed was planted.
Fast forward a few decades… During a really rough time in my life, I found myself deeply comforted by the posts and reels of a few on-line astrologers. Somehow, knowing how current planetary transits corresponded to events taking place in our collective and personal lives leant meaning to my circumstances. I could locate the narrative threads of my life within a larger pattern, and I was able to more consciously work with the energies at play.
I took a workshop, then another. It wasn’t long before I became obsessed with astrology and wanted a more formal approach to learning about this beautiful, poetic, ancient system. I enrolled in the Nightlight Astrology Year One Certification program. I loved it so much that I took Year Two, then Astrological Counseling, then Roots and Spheres. I attended workshops with Kelly Surtees, Astrology Hub and others. I shared what I was learning with friends and family, and they began asking me to look at their charts for guidance, or during difficult moments, or to understand relational patterns in their life. I also participated in a divination mentorship program with Four Queens Divination.
One thing led to another, and here we are at Stardust Oasis.

In my early 20’s, I attended the New Mexico Academy of Massage and Advanced Healing Arts and have practiced massage and energy work for decades.
I also have an MFA in creative writing and taught fiction and nonfiction writing for many years and continue to write about life, death, and astrology.
Now, my life-long passion for healing, storytelling, the imagination, and play coalesce in my chart readings.
Astrology Readings
One of the things that I love about astrology is that it is relational. A person’s chart comes to life when we look at the relationship between planets, and between the planets, signs, and zodiacal houses. When we listen to what those exchanges and interactions reveal, we gain insight into how a person’s life might unfold. While everyone’s birth chart is “fixed” in that it does not change over the course of a lifetime, the current sky is always shifting and offering new possibilities for activation and awareness.
A reading provides a lens through which we might view circumstances and events of our lives with new frameworks and understanding. Clients often feel a sense of validation about ongoing struggles they have experienced or obstacles they are attempting to overcome. Understanding the challenging astrological signatures in your birth chart does not alleviate the conflicts you may face, but it can help you to understand them in a new way and to shift your relationship to them.
A reading can also offer insight and support about overall life direction and to help you prepare for what might be ahead. All areas of life are represented in a chart, which means no questions are off the table.
